Sewing Machine Tension Replacement Marylebone

Many sewing machines come fitted with a tension control dial that is used to control the tension of the upper thread.

When tension is correctly set, the top thread and bobbin thread will produce uniformed stitches. When the tension is too tight, the switch will begin to pucker and break.

If your sewing machine tension is too loose, the stitches will also be very loose.

Common issues associated with sewing machine tension problems include:

• Skipped stitches
• Thread too tight
• Thread too loose
• Tension unit broken

It should be noted that unless your tension unit is actually broken, a tension problem can often result from other factors not associated with tension problems such as bent or dull needle, poor quality thread and lint or thread caught in bobbin tension discs.

silver 620d overlocker. lower looper thread bunching up on needle plate pins and keeps breaking, so I can`t sort out the tension. also there is a banging noise- sounds metallic. I find the machine very difficult to thread the lower looper from the looped eye (figure 8 in manual) onwards as this invloves turning the hand wheel back and forth to gain access to the rear hook (figure 9) then to the looper eye. is this usual?. would you kindly give me some idea of your pricing please.kind regardsstella catton

dear sirsi have pfaff x I am doing a contract and needed to see some elements yesterday using a heavy duty yarn. it is some time since I had used the machine and just could not seem to get the upper and lower tension on the stitches balanced. I live in axmouth and could easily drop the machine to you today. I would like you to give it a service and see what is causing the issues. I have it a really good clean and oiled all the relevant parts on the day before I started sewing. I suspect it maybe to do with the bobbin case! needless to say my job is pressing and I would like to get the repair done asap many thankssuzanne watsonmobile x x

hi I have 2 machines. 1 that was given to me. its a new home x it stitches in a straight line brilliantly. but it is supposed to have lots of fancy stitching well I only want zig zag at the moment. I have followed the instructions in the manual and it refuses to sew anything other than a straight line. is this repairable 2 is a newish one I bought from dunelm mill. im sure its a brother I dont know the model. its only small. but this one has tension issues and even with the tension on 0 it takes alot to pull the thread through and if you increase the tension it just refuses to budge and snaps the thread. this so when sewing in zig zag it just screws up the material. is this fixable basically id like a machine that sews in a zig zag thanks
