Can any sewing machine be serviced?

However budget sewing machines do not have the same build quality or parts, making a service uneconomical.

36 year old pfaff sewing machine. has worked perfectly but now the zig zag mechanism only occasionally works very intermittently. also would like a full service please.

himy machine was working fine until a couple of days ago when the foot pedal became intermittently unresponsive and now despite the machine turning on and being able to select any stitch the needle moves position to begin the programme and the display is fine with no error coding the machine will not stitch at all despite pressing the is my belief that the pedal no longer works due to its age. possibly the wire has a break in it or the cartridge electronics have burned out.i am aware that a new cord cartridge can be replaced in the pedal housing with the part available for around 35 quid but I am no electronics expert to carry out the repair myself.i am looking to have the pedal repaired if it is a cheaper option than purchasing a new pedal.i am in tiverton and can drop the machine off in exeter if needs be.please could you advise with regards to costs of repair as I can well just purchase a new genuine pfaff foot pedal myself from the parts supplier if it is not economically viable to repair the old one.many thankslou.

hi, my wife has two sewing machines. a toyota that i`m not sure but I think the needle keeps banging the edge and breaking. another machine - a janome new home - won`t change stitches and on the one stitch it does it does a couple of stitches and the misses a church out before doing a couple more stitches. is it ok to bring them up to you as i`m only down the . thank you, peter
