sews straight but doesnt do zig zag. I have this with a repair man twice. apparently there is a small part on top of the machine responsible for the zig zagging which keeps popping out. can you fix this for good

i have a pfaff x tipmatic machine. the wheel to the left of the machine which releases the needle whilst winding the bobbin was not working. my husband managed to access the working from the left hand side but once put back together neither the needle or the winding mechanism is working.i have searched the internet to find out how you remove the outer casing for the x with no success.can you advise approximate price for fixing problem. with thanks sandra shephard

probably the tension the threads are very loose and not locking properly particularly on the zigzag stitches 8 12 14 and the stretch seamovercast x nb the machine is almost exclusively used for sewing lycra so it needs to be set up for stretch fabrics.

hi. I lve in temple cloud between wells and bristol. have a very old singer 30 40 which has stopped creating a bottom stitch. the needle goes down but the bobbin appears not to be moving. it may be something I am doing but I need it fixing because I have to make a soup dragon scarecrow asapthought you might like to laugh at that....
