Can my sewing machine be serviced?

unsure of the fault not been used for a period of time and needs an overhaul.

i was sewing curtains. the machine jammed and the foot came off. I have changed both needle and bobbin but cannot not pick up the bobbin thread. I am not certain if a bit broke off or not. I cannot see what the problem is except the bobbin thread will not pull through.

bottom thread wont pick up.

hii have got a sewing maschineit is old and I bought it about a month ago.the previous owner said is fully working but ive tried and it doesnt make any stitch.maybe should set up something but I couldnt.could you have a look at it and how much itll cost methank you

bernina been in storage for a couple of years plugged it in and turned it on and smoke came out of the right hand side bottom of the machine.

the wiring has come loose and as a result the foot pedal does not work even though the mains light and digital reading is on.

hii am relatively new to sewing and have used this inherited machine to make a cushion cover with no problems. a friend has also successfully used it. but recently I wanted to gain more confidence with it so I tried out just a simple row of stitches. it worked well at first but after 2 or 3 practice rows the thread began bunching and knotting. I rethreaded the top thread but no change. I rethreaded the bobbin and gave it a little brush out gently inside and used a bit of the sewing machine oil provided. there was no improvement. ive adjusted the tension changed the thread brand and I have also rethreaded it all again and following that it just sounded terrible and then wouldnt sew at all. it just made a loud hum noise but the needle wouldnt move. id like to know whether its worth fixing as it will be at least 10 years old or whether a simple service can solve the problem. I want to book onto a dressmaking course for beginners so that I can rule out human error but I cant until the machine is either fixed or until I replace it. I would really appreciate any advice or a quote for service repair.
