not raising the bobbin thread has not been used much over the years and has been used very little since last serviced would it be a costly repair thank you

the bobbin in the bobbin case will not thread correctly and seems to be catching. the machine also needs a service.

when cleaning fluff under feed plate the nut and plastic screw above the feed dog mechanism sheered off feed dog dropped retracted for free sewing and I dont think it relocated correctly for normal sewing the stud adjacent the slide for raising the feed dog after it has been retracted doesnt seem to raise it properly ... possible because the plastic screwnut sheared off. I could bring machine in next thurs or friday on the bus.

an elna lotus have not used the machine for a couple of yearswhen tried it was very stiffalso the underside of the stitching was loopy then stuck extra thread round the bobbin which I cannot remove needs looking at a service.
