it is a good few years old but not much used. I started making a dress and it seemed fine. I started putting the zip in and the machine started getting stuck. I removed the plate and cleaned dust away and tried again but the same thing happened. I cleared the cotton away and cleaned again. also tried a bit of oil and tried again. however it got stuck again and now the handwheel wont turn at all and I cant move the needle up and down. it appears totally jammed. will it be repairable and how much my town is actually cheadle hulme in case it makes a difference.

unsure of the model but is old has stright stich forwards and reverse only the problem is that the tension seems wrong collects far to much cotton fron the bottom and keeps looping nad is loose. I do use for all types of fabric. also very tight cotton on top bobbin.
