would like to add a servo motor in place of clutch motor. can you do this and if so how much

singer tradition x the needle wouldn`t move up and down when clutch is engaged but engine works. belt seems engaged, when trying to investigate myself I found the spring inside the needle handle is severely warped and would need a new one.
