hi, I need advice about needles for a brother bd755 mk3. I bought it with a needle in place but I managed to break the needle. i`ve bought 3 different types of replacement needle but they don`t seem to be correct (smaller), the top thread keeps breaking. my sewing machine stopped working and then had smoke coming out of it. I openned up the back and it looks like it could be the capacitor and there is also blakck burn marks in the surrounding area. does it sound fixable if so what would be the cost email reply would be preferable. thanks.

needle was bent so replaced it. rewound bobbin but cannot pick up bobbin thread. needle goes through fabric and fabric moves on but bobbin thread not engageing so not stitching.
